The Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK), which has been acting as Tamil Nadu’s moral police, is now targeting Bollywood sexy actress Mallika Sherawat . Mallika’s “provocative” style of dressing at the Dasavatharam music launch function on April 25, has irked the fundamentalists. HMK activist S R Kaniraj has lodged a complaint with the Periyamet police station in Chennai, saying that Mallika has “caused mental agony and hurt to the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu by wearing a revealing mini skirt, exposing her back and sitting cross legged in front of the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.”

HMK wants the police to take action against Mallika. A few weeks back, Shriya was hauled up by HMK for “dressing in an indecent manner at the Sivaji silver jubilee function”, where again Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was the chief guest. Shriya, who was acting in other Tamil films, was forced to tender an unconditional apology. Mallika who has done a cameo in ‘Dasavatharam’ is unlikely to do another Tamil film in the near future so it will be interesting to see whether the sexy actress, who flaunted her “dare-bare” attitude and even hugged and kissed Jackie Chan on stage offer an unconditional apology.
